SERVICES & WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Family law matters are rarely one-size-fits-all. Some clients need ongoing guidance, others need help with a specific issue or document, and many need clarity before deciding what comes next.

Flores Family Law offers strategic, resolution-focused family law services designed to meet clients where they are — without unnecessary escalation or litigation.

✼ STRATEGIC LEGAL ADVISING

Strategic advising is the foundation of our practice.

We help clients understand their rights, risks, and options so they can make informed decisions early — before problems escalate or positions harden.

Common advising matters include:

  • Divorce and legal separation strategy

  • Child custody and parenting time analysis

  • Child support and spousal support considerations

  • Community and separate property evaluation

  • Post-judgment planning and modification strategy

  • Pre-filing guidance and case assessment

  • Second opinions on ongoing family law matters

This service is ideal for clients who want clarity, direction, and experienced insight — even if they are not ready to file or litigate.

✼ DRAFTING & NEGOTIATION SUPPORT

In family law, written advocacy often shapes outcomes long before any court appearance.

We provide focused drafting and negotiation support designed to strengthen your position and move matters toward resolution.

Drafting and support services include:

  • Family Law Pleadings such as Petitions for Dissolution, Responses to Petitions for Dissolutions, Request for Orders, Petitions to Determine Parental Relationship, Petitions for Custody and Support of Minor Children, etc.

  • Declarations and supporting statements

  • Settlement proposals and counter-offers

  • Parenting plans and custody agreements

  • Stipulations and negotiated orders

  • Correspondence with opposing counsel

  • Mediation and settlement conference preparation

These services may be provided on a limited-scope or flat-fee basis, depending on the nature of the work.

✼ LIMITED-SCOPE REPRESENTATION

Not every family law matter requires full representation.

Limited-scope representation allows clients to receive legal support for specific tasks or stages of a case, while remaining in control of the overall process.

Examples of limited-scope services include:

  • Advising and preparation for mediation

  • Review and revision of court filings

  • Strategy support for hearings (no appearance)

  • Limited Scope Court Appearances

  • Behind-the-scenes legal guidance to assist you  through your family law matter

Limited-scope representation is governed by a written agreement that clearly defines the scope of services provided.

For clients who need targeted assistance without ongoing representation, we offer hourly advisory and drafting services with clearly defined scope.

This option is best suited for:

  • Short-term strategy questions

  • Discrete drafting projects

  • Case evaluations or second opinions

Hourly services are provided by agreement and do not include trial representation or courtroom appearances.
